Special alumina charges

Aluminum oxide has excellent temperature resistance, with a melting point above

2,000°C. As a result, it is often used in ceramics, aeronautics, and nuclear energy, for the purpose of:

lightening or weighing down loads,
improving thermal conductivity,
increasing mechanical resistance,
increasing resistance to abrasion and wear,
improving a product’s lifespan,
getting a stronger paint,

Polishing : alumina cream and alumina powder

We offer two kinds of alumina powders for polishing.

Aluminum oxide powder: alumina powder for polishing is suitable for all of your materials (steel, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, stainless and ordinary steels). It can be used on a wide range of materials: soft, rough, with round or angular grains, etc. Alumina powder polishing is the perfect choice for the watchmaking, cutlery, and precision mechanics—anything that requires very fine polishing.
Aluminas for cream polishing: cream polishing alumina is used for sanding, polishing, cleaning and casting. Alumines Durmax manufactures your cream polishing alumina to meet your specific needs and technical requirements. Its liquid form means it is very easy to apply.

Sandblasting - Microblasting : blasting corundums

The corundum, or crystallized aluminum oxides, are manufactured from calcined alumina and are part of the family of electro-fused aluminum. There are generally 2 types of corundum: white corundum and brown corundum.

Alumines Durmax uses electro-fused aluminas with high purity and high hardness for an optimal result meeting the most specific needs. We have a wide range of grain sizes, from micron to 3 mm, according to the FEPA standard.

Aluminium oxide for special ceramics
